*  CONFESSION OF SIN: (first in silence then in unison)
C: Almighty God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – we confess our sin to You. We desire to know You, to serve You, and to be fruitful for You. That good desire is compromised by other desires. We want to be like other people, and to be liked by other people. We want to take our ease, and not be stretched or challenged. We want to have much gain, but we want it to come without effort. We want to grow spiritually, but without renouncing worldliness. All this makes us tend to the superficial and temporal, at the sake of the profound and eternal. Lord Jesus, help us. Forgive the shallowness of our hearts, and draw us deeper into Your truth. Holy Spirit, renew our minds and purify our hearts. O Father, draw us to You, that our lives may be filled with Your truth, and lived in Your light. Almighty God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – we desire most to honor You. Amen.

THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Inconceivable. A core doctrine of Christianity is the Trinity. It is a cause of great offense to Judaism and Islam, though each claims an Abrahamic origin also. Jew and Muslin alike consider the Trinitarian God inconceivable. In fact, they each consider it blasphemous, utterly to be rejected. There are groups that identify as Christian who also dismiss any notion of the Trinity. They say it is an extra-biblical term that should be rejected. The Church answers that this non-biblical term is designed to protect essential biblical truth. We say, “Praise God for the truth of the Trinity.”
CONGRATULATIONS to Dave Reich who is being ordained and installed as an Elder this morning. Dave also serves as our Consistory President and was elected to serve as Elder earlier this month.
SPECIAL MISSIONARY PRAYER will happen today. A delightful missionary couple – Brian and Barbara – have spent a good number of months in our Mission House. This week they begin the trek back to their field of service. We want to bring them forward for prayer and ask God’s blessing on them as they set out.

SIGNIFICANT THANKS is extended to Pastor Steve, the ladies of the office, Ron and Kathy Moyer, and others who labored diligently and effectively for last evening’s SLMT Auction. It takes a ton of work to bring together all elements of such an event.
IT’S TIME FOR A NEW LEIDY’S CHURCH DIRECTORY The dates for the sittings are Tuesday, June 13th and runs through Saturday, June 17th. Someone will be in the narthex to help you make an appointment.
GOT YOUR TICKET YET? Dan Emr will be the special speaker at the upcoming BMCE Business and Professional Breakfast. It happens on Thursday, May 11th at the Franconia Heritage banquet facility. Enjoy a hearty breakfast served family style as well as hear Dan’s story. It begins at 6:30 and you’ll be on your way by 8. You may get your tickets from Jack Parry, Pastor Niederhaus, or the church office for a special price of $10.
HEARTY THANKS to all those who gave items for last evening’s auction. Without your contribution there could be no auction! Also, hearty thanks to all who participated in the auction – without bidders and buyers it wouldn’t be much of an auction! Speaking prophetically, a grand total of Just About Enough was raised.
REFINED EARS AND SENSITIVE PALATES will want to be part of the last one of all time SLMT Music and Dessert Night. It happens on Saturday, May 13th. Tickets are $20 p/person. Participants will enjoy a generous array of homemade desserts (with a song or two interspersed) in the Fellowship Hall. Then all will adjourn to the sanctuary to enjoy a concert of music by a variety of our best Leidy’s Church singers. Everyone will find something suited to their taste.
MARK LOWRY a Christian comedian, songwriter, and singer will be in concert in our area on Friday evening May 12th. Labelled Laugh 4 Bucks, the event is sponsored by Upper Bucks Christian School and will take place at their location at 754 East Rockhill Road, Sellersville. LADIES OF LEIDY’S is sponsoring a Ladies Tea on Saturday, June 3rd at 11 a.m. Family Heritage Gift Shop and Shekala’s have graciously offered to provide a Fashion Show for our event. If you would like to host a table, be sure to look for the sign-up in the narthex.
A SPECIAL OFFERING WILL BE RECEIVED this morning. It will be for the Haven of Hope down in Philadelphia. Recently, they had a major failure on the main building sewer lateral connection to the city sewer main. It cost over $3,600 to get it fixed. That sort of unexpected expense severely stretches the Haven of Hope’s finances. We want to help. Use a Second Mile Envelope which you can mark “Haven of Hope” and help that ministry in this time of need.
LADIES OF LEIDY’S meet this Tuesday evening at 7 in the Conference Room. We are still collecting items for MorningStar Ministries.  Also, we look forward to having Jack Parry coming to speak to us and tell us about how we can take care of our bodies and concerns specific to women.
MULCHING DAY is set for May 13th beginning at 8 am. Please bring your own tools if you have them. Thanks!

If you still have donations, please hold them. The rummage room is full. You may bring them to the gym May 8th or 9th. The Ladies of Leidy’s thank you for all your wonderful donations!
