*  CONFESSION OF SIN: (first in silence then in unison)
C: Lord Jesus, we worship You! You are the Mighty One, we are the weak ones. How easily we slip into mere human perspectives. Our hearts and minds focus not on You, but on our own sensibilities. How quickly we become like Thomas, doubting the reality of what You do and proclaim. Like Israel of old, we are prone to think our way is hidden from You, and that the justice due us is forgotten by You. We grumble. We complain. We faint. We doubt. Lord Jesus, forgive us. Open the eyes of our hearts. Help us live in the hope that comes with Your call for us to be Your people. Oh, we need a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Thank You for the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us. We worship You!

THE SERMON TITLE this morning is It’s Real! Do you remember the response of the Greeks in Athens when Paul told them about the resurrection of Jesus? They said he was an idle babbler! It’s a truth commonly accepted that when you’re dead, you’re dead. No one knows anyone who died, came back to life, and never died again. Well, except for Christians. Their testimony is that they know of just such an incident. It’s not made up. It’s not wishful thinking. It’s not a fabrication. It’s real! The physical resurrection of Jesus and His ascension to heaven are bedrock facts of the Christian faith.
WE WELCOME Dan and Ana Istrate to our service of worship today. Native Romanians who lived in the US for more than two decades, they are back in Romania as missionaries under the auspices of the Bible Fellowship Mission Board. Dan serves as Pastor to a Roma congregation as well as teaching at Timotheus Bible College. 2017 is the third year they have been part of our Mission budget.
THIS MORNING Leidy’s Church is receiving new members. We wish to welcome the following people to our fellowship. Take time to greet them after the service.

HOW ABOUT A BUS TRIP?? Many folk have inquired about making a trek out to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. Now we have just such a trip planned. The dates are November 13-16 of this year. We leave on a Monday, visit the Creation Museum on Tuesday, visit the Ark Encounter on Wednesday, and return on Thursday, including a stop at the Flight 93 memorial in western PA. Total cost per person for the trip is $700 for a single room, $500 for a double room, $430 for a triple room, and $400 for a quad room. The price includes rooming, all entrance fees, hot breakfast and dinner available at the hotel, and all the comforts of riding around on a Perkiomen Tour coach. A deposit of $150 is required. Call the church office or speak with Pastor Niederhaus for more information.
