THE SERMON TITLE this morning is A Paternity Case. Stephen made a masterful defense of the charges against him. At the end of this defense, he turns the tables on his accusers, accusing them of being the real blasphemers in this instance. He says they are not what they say they are. Unlike their presumptions, their father is not who they think he is. This is an issue that’s plagued mankind throughout history. Do you know what spirit you are of? Jesus confronts some folk with the same question. Paul sums up the problem by pointing out the necessary work of the Holy Spirit to establish true spiritual parentage.

THE BUILDING PROJECT was slowed this past week by weather conditions and by holiday conditions! Work was still being accomplished, but not as much as had been planned. Concrete was poured for the entryway to the gymnasium area. Plans were finalized for the A/V equipment that will be used in the new building. Farther away, up in Zionsville in Lehigh County, the Walker Technical Company is diligently building the organ that will be installed in our new sanctuary. It’s a labor of love for them. Closer at hand, representatives from PECO met with the contractor to finalize plans for running the lines to connect the new facility with natural gas service. Maybe this week we’ll see the final trusses put in place.

Stop by the 28:19 Table in the Fellowship Hall today to check out the books and sign up for the program.
