THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Best Wishes for a New Year. Paul had nothing but best wishes for King Agrippa and the gathered dignitaries who listen to his defense of his life and ministry. Some of those present have not the slightest clue about the things he says. Governor Festus interrupts Paul to exclaim that Paul must be mad, a maniac confused by his great learning. Paul insists that he is not delusional or maniacal, but that he is speaking words of sober truth. His response to their various assessments of his witness is instructive for us. We need to have that same attitude in us that was in Paul. He got it right regarding time and goal.
THE SACRAMENT of Holy Communion will be shared this morning. We invite all members of the church of Jesus Christ to share in this sacrament. Please fill out a communion card and place it in the offering plate.

LEIDY’S CHURCH HAS GREAT KIDS! There is an urgent need for teacher’s helpers in the Toddler and 5th/6th Grade Sunday School. Helpers need not prepare lessons, but are a very necessary extra set of hands in the classroom each week. Help is also needed in nursery for the little ones that are a bit older. If you can help or have questions, contact Bekah Kulp (215-622-0813) or the church office.
REALM, A MIDWEEK TIME OF WORSHIP & THE WORD begins this Thursday, at 7:00 p.m. What is Realm? It is a midweek time dedicated to worshipping our Lord and hearing from God’s Word in a relaxed but passionate atmosphere. Realm is for everyone young and old to come and sing praises to God in the form of modern worship songs and engage with the Scriptures. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Chris.
     Christmas Eve we went down to the city;
Saw some folks with just a little bitty.
There were lots of them, it was so sad.
But we had come to share what we had.
I asked one man, “Where do you stay?”
He said, “On this bench. I don’t go far away.”
I thought we came to brighten a day,
But I found myself with nothing to say.
So we gave out cookies and coats and socks.
Didn’t worry about time…there were no clocks.
And though it rained…we brought the Son.
His name was Jesus…He is the One.
Where He is, He will always bring Hope.
He never says, “Never.” He never says, “Nope.”
We left behind some folks warmer dressed.
I thank the Lord Jesus for letting us be blessed.
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this project. God Bless You!
