THE SERMON TITLE this morning is The Cure is from the Lord. Have you ever watched folk who are healthy and whole respond in public to strangers with visible handicaps? Some will pay no attention. Some will express a sympathetic word. Still others will seek to avoid any eye contact, not knowing how to act. These kinds of reactions to handicapped people are not uncommon, for these types of responses often pass through our minds when we encounter a handicapped person. Today we will examine Jesus’ response to a man with a visible handicap and see how Jesus’ amazing cure changes his life.

September 13 Rally Day
Holy Is the Lord
We stand and lift up our hands
For the joy of the Lord is our strength
We bow down and worship Him now
How great how awesome is He
And together we sing, everyone sing
Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
The earth is filled with His glory
It’s rising up all around
It’s the anthem of the Lord’s renown
Your Great Name
Lost are saved, find their way,
At the sound of Your great name
All condemned, feel no shame,
At the sound of Your great name
Every fear, has no place,
At the sound of Your great name
The enemy; he has to leave,
At the sound of Your great name
Jesus, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain for us,
Son of God and Man, You are high and lifted up;
And all the world will praise Your great name
All the weak, find their strength,
At the sound of your great name
Hungry souls, receive grace,
At the sound of Your great name
The fatherless, they find their rest,
At the sound of Your great name
Sick are healed, and the dead are raised,
At the sound of Your great name
Redeemer, My Healer, Lord Almighty
My Savior, Defender, You are My King
Jesus, Thank You
The mystery of the cross I cannot comprehend
The agonies of Calvary
You the perfect Holy One, crushed Your Son
Who drank the bitter cup reserved for me
Your blood has washed away my sin
Jesus, thank You
The Father’s wrath completely satisfied
Jesus, thank You
Once Your enemy, now seated at Your table
Jesus, thank You
By Your perfect sacrifice I’ve been brought near
Your enemy You’ve made Your friend
Pouring out the riches of Your glorious grace
Your mercy and Your kindness know no end
Lover of my soul, I want to live for You
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him, all creatures here below
Praise Him above, ye heavenly Host
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen
