*  THE OPENING HYMN: #645  Battle Hymn of the Republic
*  THE SOLEMN DECLARATION            C: Amen
*  THE INVITATION TO CONFESSION
*  THE CONFESSION OF SIN – first in silence & then in unison
    C: Almighty and most merciful God, we have strayed from Your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have gone against Your laws. We have left undone those things we should have done, and we have done those things we should never have done. Have mercy upon us. Make us whole. And help us to live a righteous life to the glory of Your Holy Name, through Jesus Christ our Lord.   Amen.
* THE KYRIE (sung)
          P: Lord, have mercy upon us.
         C: Lord, have mercy upon us.
         P: Christ, have mercy upon us.
         C: Christ, have mercy upon us.
         P: Lord, have mercy upon us.
         C: Lord, have mercy upon us.
*   THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON
         P: God demonstrates His love for us…
         C: Amen
*   THE CALL TO PRAISE
         P: Let us praise God!
         C: Praise the Lord!
*   THE GRATEFUL PRAISE: To God Be the Glory
     To God be the glory – great things He hath done!
     So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
     Who yielded His life an atonement for sin
     And opened the Lifegate that all may go in.
     Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord,
    Let the earth hear His voice!
     Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord!
     Let the people rejoice!
     O come to the Father through Jesus the Son,
     And give Him the glory – great things He hath done

THE SERMON TITLE this morning is Awe and Wonder. Are you ready for some fireworks? It’s that time of year! During the course of history no one has caused more fireworks – in one sense – than Jesus Christ. The Messiah has been a point of contention from Genesis 3 forward. Our OT text indicates it is Jesus that causes the nations to rage and be in an uproar. Things are much different for the Christian. We look at Christ with awe and wonder, overwhelmed by the magnitude of who He is and what He does. We need a solid foundational understanding of the person of Christ. We hope to get that this Lord’s Day.

THE LADIES MONDAY NIGHT Bible study is canceled for tomorrow.  We will meet again on Monday, July 10 for lesson four of The Truth Project.
PLAY BALL!!! Leidy’s Church has a block of 50 tickets for the Saturday evening, July 29th game between the minor league leading Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs and the thoroughly deplorable Durham Bulls. It should be a good game as the Bulls have the next best record in the minors after the Pigs. Tickets are available after the service today. They are $11 each and include a coupon for $2 off any food item purchased at the park.
FREE HOSPITAL BED – Contact Vicki Freed at 215-721-0654 if interested.
PRAISE BE TO GOD (and a big Thank You to all involved) for a wonderful week of VBS. If you helped organize, set up, carry out, clean up, or any of a number of other parts in the big commotion of VBS this past week, please be advised your efforts were both appreciated and fruitful. There was good teaching, lots of friendships fostered, creative crafts, needed munchies, and fun-drenched activities. Ask any of the kids and they can tell you what Noah’s Ark didn’t look like and what it did look like.
CHRISTIAN WRITERS CONFERENCE – Are you a writer or a wanna-be? Write His Answer Ministry will hold the annual Greater Philly Christian Writers Conference at Cairn University in Langhorne, July 26-29.  You can register for one or more days at www.philadelphia.writehisanswer.com or by contacting the conference director, Marlene Bagnull at 484-991-8581. She says, “As I consider the critical days we are living in, I cannot think of a more important assignment than to “Write His Answer” through screenplays, novels, non-fiction books, poetry, devotionals, and more.”  This is a great opportunity to meet with authors, editors, publishers, and editors to equip and encourage your writing ministry.
DON’T WASTE YOUR SUMMER sitting by the pool or beach!  Use these lazy, hazy (or rainy) days of summer to prepare for the Christmas Craft & Gift Sale!  We are letting you know now that we are definitely on the church calendar for Saturday, November 18th, so you can’t say you didn’t have enough time to prepare! Turn those strawberries into jelly and pickle those beets! Consider picking a favorite ministry or charity to raise funds for and work together as a family. Turn trash into treasures this summer and maybe those treasures can turn into cash in November!
LEIDY’S YOUTH IS GOING BOWLING TODAY! Today from 3-5 pm Leidy’s Youth is meeting at Earl Bowl (390 Morwood Rd, Earlington) for a time of fun and community. What the cost?
