THE SERMON TITLE this morning is A Case of Mistaken Identity. The name of Jesus can’t be ignored. For some, the name of Jesus is a swear word to be dragged through the mess of life. Others cherish it and speak of it with great reverence and exaltation. Still others only use it for their own personal gain. Some call on it only when they are in pain. In our day many use the name of Jesus for their own miracles. Do they know, and are they known by, the miracle Maker? Today we will study a case involving mistaken identity, misplaced motives, and the magnification of the name of Jesus. Together we will see that no matter how the name of Jesus is used, there is extra-ordinary power.
MISSIONARY HOSTING World Team, located in nearby Warrington, has periodic housing needs for missionaries and missionary candidates. The host family provides breakfast each morning, but is not responsible for other meals or for transportation. MISSION COMMITTEE MEMBERS have cards to sign! We’re not meeting this month, but cards still need to go out. Please stop by the church office this week and add your John Hancock to each card. Thanks.
CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER MEETING has been called for by the Spiritual Council. It will take place on Wednesday, beginning at 7 p.m. The focus of the prayer meeting will be the building project. The following day (June 23rd) is when the L&I board meets in Harrisburg. Among their agenda items will be requests from us. That will be one prayer item, but not the only one by any means. The building project is much more than bricks, and mortar. Please come out and join in this evening of prayer.

THERE IS CURRENTLY A NEED for someone to coordinate the nursery schedule for this year’s VBS program (August 7-11th). We have volunteers who are willing to help in the nursery most nights, but we could use that one special organizational genius to oversee the schedule and make sure the babies of our wonderful mom volunteers are well cared for. Please contact Laura Heebner if you can help at 215-872-9834 or email@example.com.
LORRAINE SHOEMAKER thanks her church family for the prayers, concerns, and cards she received while recovering from her fall.
