Prayer Points

Please pray for those within our church family who are sick and suffering.

GOSPEL GLEANING PRAYER POINTERS
  • Church planting is demanding. The 12 Church Planters working among the Erukula people in India are entering the final phases of their labors. Their work is underwritten for one year and they’ve been at it for almost 10 months. Like a runner looking to finish a long-distance race, the Church Planters need endurance and a will to go on despite any weariness they may feel. Hence, a good verse to pray for them at this time would be Psalm 119:13 I opened my mouth wide and panted, For I longed for Your commandments. They will need to trust in the Lord and His Word in order to finish well. So, even if they’re tired and panting, may their longing be for the truth of God’s Word and the desire to continue to communicate to the Erukula people.
  • This is Pentecost Sunday, the day when the Holy Spirit was poured out on some 120 followers of Jesus gathered in the Upper Room in Jerusalem. They were baptized in the Spirit, empowered by God, and the result was that 3,000 folk were baptized that day. (Acts. 2:41) The Bible says those 3,000 folk “received” the word preached by Peter. That Word, of course, was the testimony about Jesus. As we pray for Christians in Chad and Niger who are purposefully reaching out to unreached peoples in those lands, may the word they share be “received” by many just as on the Day of Pentecost.
